27th February 2012 - Cake Together Evening at Pattacakes, Welburn at 7:00pm

Anita at Pattacakes will be hosting a Cake Together evening on 27/2/12 to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. This is something that any member of the community can get involved with. March 17th 2012 - Funny Tricks

A Magical One Man Show in Welburn Village Hall by Ian Keable at 7.30pm

'In Funny Tricks' Ian Keable explains and illustrates some of the techniques he uses to mystify his audience. He ranges from sleight of hand to traditional conjuring props to reading minds but all have one feature in common: they are all performed with laughs galore.'

Tickets cost £8 (£4 for children under 10) and there will be a bar.

Wednesday 4th April at 1.30 - 3.30pm in Welburn Village Main Hall

 Tea & A Film

You've heard of Tea & Talk now here's Tea & a Film !   The film is 'Some Like it Hot' featuring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe; it was made in 1959 in black and white and directed by Billy Wilder.  After witnessing the Valentine's Day Massacre in Chicago, two musicians (Curtis and Lemmon) escape the heat by joining an all girl band dressed as women with uproarious results.  Tickets are £5 (including choc ices and popcorn) available from Sylvia Haynes 01653 619764. 

Howsham Mill

Howsham Mill, our local Restoration Project, is now generating electricity using the restored water wheel and a new archemedian screw turbine.

Visitors and volunteers are welcome anytime. Volunteers are on site on Sundays.
 
The Mill is not signposted yet, but go through Crambe towards Howsham. Park at the river bridge and follow the signs.
